    In order to achieve this, you need to be able to produce and present high-quality, evidence-based, analytical fostering assessments and have a sound knowledge of child care legislation which includes the Children Act 1989, Fostering and Adoption Act 2002, the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services, and Fostering Services Regulations.

    Working within the Business Support Team, the role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department by handling administrative duties, compliance checks, and correspondence while supporting the Head of Department in their daily responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Carry out all statutory checks (DBS, Medicals, Local Authority Checks) for foster carers, back up carers, household members and others.

    • Provide general administrative assistance to the CEO/DIRECTOR, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

    • Manage incoming and outgoing emails, responding professionally and promptly.

    • Handle telephone calls, directing inquiries appropriately and providing necessary information.
