More Than Care: Empowering Young People Through Positive Experiences This Spring

Over the Easter half term, our Youth Participation team organised a fantastic spring event for young people and carers at Stockport Plaza. Together, we enjoyed a brilliant pantomime performance of The Little Mermaid, which was full of energy, humour, and audience participation.

Young people of all ages attended, and from the moment the show began, there was a real buzz in the theatre. The pantomime had everyone involved—there was singing, dancing, and laughter all around. It was lovely to see young people and carers relaxing, having fun, and sharing the experience together.

Events like this are so important in creating opportunities for connection and enjoyment outside of everyday routines. It gave young people a chance to build confidence, make memories, and simply have fun in a supportive environment.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. We’re already looking forward to our next event!
